Job description

Are you a collaborative software developer who enjoys building scalable applications and would you like to contribute to a greener world by developing the technology behind the energy transition? Become a Software Developer at Greener.

Full Stack, Fully Charged ⚡

At Greener, technology is at the heart of accelerating the energy transition. Our Web Development team builds and maintains the applications that connect customers, batteries, and energy systems. From monitoring assets in the field to providing insights and control through our platforms, our software helps customers make smarter and more sustainable energy decisions. Together, we bring our core value We energize together to life every day.

As a Software Engineer you'll help build and improve the applications that power Greener's operations and customer experience. Your focus will be primarily on backend development, while also contributing to frontend features when needed. A typical day could involve developing REST and WebSocket APIs using Python and FastAPI, reviewing code with teammates, improving reporting functionality, or building React and TypeScript components that make complex energy data easy to understand.

You'll work on meaningful technical challenges, such as refactoring legacy reporting functionality into a more scalable solution or improving communication between different application layers using technologies such as Socket.IO. You'll work with SQL and time-series data, deploy applications using Docker, and contribute to maintaining high software quality through code reviews, automated testing, and occasional manual testing. Depending on your interests and experience, you may also work with testing frameworks such as Cypress and help further improve our development practices.

Because Greener operates a fleet of connected energy assets, you'll have the opportunity to work in a unique environment where software, IoT, and energy technology come together. Collaboration is a key part of the role. You'll work closely with fellow developers, actively participate in code reviews, and contribute ideas that help improve both the product and the way we work. Through ownership, adaptability, and teamwork, you'll embody our core value We make it happen

It's your mission to build and improve reliable software solutions that help customers and colleagues get the most out of Greener's energy systems.

Why go Greener?

Besides contributing to a greener world, here's what you'll get:

  • Exciting and impactful work in a rapidly growing scale-up;

  • A varied role combining backend development, frontend development, and software design;

  • A yearly salary between EUR50k-68k (including holiday allowance, based on a fulltime work week)
